The Bellevue Blaze, the city of Bellevue's Special Olympics Team, is featured this month on the city's monthly "It's Your City" television show, which shows on Bellevue TV.

The team meets at the Highland Community Center. The segment is on the city's YouTube channel, which also features other segments from the channel.

According to the news release by the city, participants get a sense of achievement and community from participating in the sports events:

"I wanted to get out of my house and do things," said Sara Aldrich, who participated in the April event at Fort Lewis. "I like the fact that I get to do so many activities and that I've made so many friends."
