Two Bellevue Teens Compete for Miss Washington Teen USA

Gabriella Sturgill and Alayna Brand are competing in the Miss Washington Teen USA competition this weekend.

Being crowned Miss Washington Teen and Miss Teen USA isn’t just about the crown. This year, over $900,000 in scholarships will be given to deserving young women.

Two from Bellevue are competing this weekend against teens from all over the state to be Miss Washington Teen USA. 

Gabriella Sturgill is competing as Miss South Bellevue USA. Sturgill is a student at Bellevue High School and a Running Start student at Bellevue College, who aims to get a business degree and join the Peace Corps.

Alayna Brand is competing as Miss Bellevue USA. Brand is pursuing a career in fashion modeling and enjoys singing, dancing, basketball, playing piano, and mentoring younger teenagers.

This year’s pageant will showcase contestants from all across the state of Washington, providing them with nearly $900,000 in prizes, scholarships, cash and life-changing opportunities.

Participants may also vote online for their favorites as Miss Photogenic and for People's Choice!

The Miss Washington USA and Miss Washington Teen USA pageants will be held this weekend, Oct. 20 – 21 in Burien.

The Miss Teen titleholder (contestants are between 14-18 years old,) will go on to compete for the title of Miss Teen USA and the adult Miss titleholder (contestants between 18-26 years old) will compete live on NBC for the Miss USA title. That winner will then compete for Miss Universe.
