Movie 'Chasing Mavericks' Plays in the Park: What's Up
Today in Bellevue, "Chasing Mavericks" will be the Aug. 13 Summer Movie in the Park showing tonight at Bellevue Downtown Park.
Indulge your surfing fantasies at the Aug. 13 Summer Movie in the Park, "Chasing Mavericks."
The plot according to Moviefone: "A young surfing prodigy enlists the expertise of an old pro in order to conquer a truly epic wave in this drama detailing the incredible true story of surfer Jay Moriarity (Jonny Weston)."
The movie stars Jonny Weston as the young surfer, and Gerard Butler as the pro with whom he bonds.
Families can bring your picnics, blankets and low-back chairs to watch the movie outdoors at Bellevue Downtown Park. Pre-movie activities start at 8 p.m.
This week's non-profit is treehouse, which needs new clothing for kids ages 5 - 18, long or short sleeved shirts, jeans all sizes, sweatshirts & hoodies, socks & underwear, warm coats, backpacks, and messenger bags.
