Care for & cuddle kitties @ Bellevue CR Petco

Is there a special place in your heart for abandoned, lost, or surrendered kitties?

Do you love to cuddle cats? Feed them & clean up after them? Help make sure they find a good "forever" home?

Regional Animal Services of King County/ King County's animal shelter is now accepting applications from people who would like to work with kitties from the shelter who temporarily reside at a Bellevue Crossroads Petco.

If you are willing to make a commitment of one to two hours per week for at least six months, you will receive training on many aspects of cat care and customer service (depending on shift availability).

Please apply if you...

. Love working with kitties & are comfortable address their needs, and

. Have good communication skills to interact with the public about the pet-adoption process, and

. Are prepared to make your weekly shift a top priority for at least six months by being a reliable and dependable person whom the kitties can count on (time off is given for vacations, illness/ injury...)

If so, the next steps would be to...

. Complete a volunteer application (available at www.kingcounty.gov/pets or by request to sarah.luthens@kingcounty.gov)

. Participate in a general volunteer orientation/ Policies & Procedures training over the phone for one hour

. Interview with a Volunteer Lead Director. If accepted, participate in training at Petco

. If you are 16- 17 years old, your parent/ legal guardian would need to sign an authorization form

. If you are under 16 years old, you would need to be accompanied by your parent/ adult guardian at all trainings and shifts. Parent-Youth Teams are welcome, as are grandparent-Youth Teams, so long as the youth is at least 10 years old.

If you are reliable, skilled, and friendly, RASKC looks forward to your joining our volunteer community at Bellevue Crossroads Petco!
