Whitman College Graduates 10 from Bellevue

Whitman College graduated 10 students from Bellevue at the 2011 Commencement Ceremony on Sunday, May 22.

The following students received Bachelor of Arts degrees:

A total of 378 degrees were conferred at the ceremony in front of an estimated crowd of 4,000 students, faculty, staff and visiting guests. This year's Commencement speaker and recipient of an honorary doctor of humane letters degree was Whitman alumna Meda Chesney-Lind, Class of 1969, a professor of women's studies at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.

The event, held on the scenic South Lawn of the Memorial Building, crowned a celebratory weekend of activities, including the 50-year reunion of the Class of 1961 and the college's traditional Baccalaureate, held Saturday afternoon in Cordiner Hall.

Whitman College is located in Walla Walla.
