While roughly 5%-10% of all people are intolerant to gluten, more and more restaurants are offering one or two menu items that are gluten free. Chef John Howie has done even more than that by creating expansive gluten-free menus at his four restaurants: John Howie Steak, Seastar Restaurant and Raw Bar in Bellevue and Seattle, and SPORT Restaurant and Bar. To give you an idea on numbers, Seastar’s gluten free menu in Bellevue includes 24 appetizers, 13 lunch entrees and 16 dinner entrees.
