Adopt this Pet: Simon the Dog

Meet one of the adoptable pets at the Seattle Humane Society featured this week on Bellevue Patch. Check this column to meet another featured adoptable pet.

Meet Simon! This 5-month-old Dachshund mix is an adorable young pup with an irresistible charm! Simon’s tiny tail is like a little engine- it starts wagging wildly whenever you’re near to give him a pet. Simon has the cutest wrinkly coat that he will surely grow into quickly! If you are ready for the joys and challenges of raising a puppy, this adorable guy would be a great addition to any home.

The is at 13212 SE Eastgate Way in Bellevue and is open seven days a week, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday.

All dogs and cats at the have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. They go home with 30 days of pet health insurance and a certificate for an examination by a King County veterinarian.   • The Seattle Humane Society is now open later on some days, so you can visit after work. The new hours are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday.

  • The Seattle Humane Society and Safeway have teamed up for a Summer Pet Food Drive to help fill the shelves of Pet Food Bank, according to the Seattle Humane Society. Collection barrels for pet food will be in  local Safeway stores throughout July.
