Jules Steiner Exhibit at the Rosalie Whyel Museum of Doll Art

•  Why Go: Learn how toymaker Jules Steiner made some of the most creative walking and talking dolls in the 19th century.

Skating at Castle Ice in Renton

• Where/When: Castle Ice Arena in Renton, Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to  2:45 p.m.; Saturday, 1:45 to 5:45 p.m.  and 7:30 to 10 p.m.; Sunday, 1 to 3:30 p.m. Its website is here.
• Why Go: You don’t have to be an Olympian to love ice skating!
• Cost: $7 for ages 6 and older, $5 for ages 5 and younger.

"Momotaro (The Peach Boy)" Puppet Show at Bellevue Youth Theatre

• Why Go: This popular story from Japan is presented by Thistle Puppet Theatre using beautiful Bunraku style puppets.

 Creeping Critters for Kids at the Sammamish Library

"The Crucible" from Youth Theatre Northwest
