Bellevue Patch Play Date! June 1

Fun activities and some sweet deals for the whole family this upcoming week.

EVENTS FOR FAMILIES, June 1 – 8, 2011

  • June 3 & 4, 2011: Eastside Fill and Feed
  • Volunteers of all ages are needed at this event sponsored by the non-profit organization Feed My Starving Children. Meals will be assembled both days in Redmond at the .  Volunteers will pack over 270,000 MannaPack meals, designed to be easy to digest for severely malnourished children.  They are also formulated to be culturally acceptable worldwide.  Get over information or register to volunteer online

June 3: Date Night!  Parents’ Night Out at

  • 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
  • Potty-trained kids up to age 12 enjoy a pizza dinner, crafts, games and play time in the gym while parents enjoy a date night. Lots of options for dinner and a movie at , located just a block away from My Gym.

June 4: Islamic Relief USA: Help Rebuild Egypt Fundraiser Dinner at the

  • Bellevue families are invited to this fundraising event to help rebuild Egypt. Guest speakers will be Dr. Jamal Badawi  of the
Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) and Rodwaan Saleh, 
Southcentral Operations Manager, Islamic Relief USA.
  • Cost: $25 adults ($30 at the door), $50 per family of four ($60 at the door), $10 per additional family members. Dinner and childcare provided.  Buy tickets online

 June 4: Open Farm at Fox Hollow Farm and Equestrian Center 

  • 10 a.m. to 1 a.m.
  • Fox Hallow is equestrian farm nestled between Squak and Tiger Mountains in Issaquah at 12031 Issaquah-Hobart Road SE.  Drop by Saturday to visit with the farm’s animals, swing on the hayloft’s rope swings, play in bouncy houses, play in a creek and drive some kid size John Deere tractors and trucks.  You are invited to bring a picnic lunch and there will also be hot dogs, cotton candy, kettle corn and drinks for sale. 
  • Cost: $6 with children under age one free.

June 6: Family Story Time at the
