Bellevue Patch Whiz Kid: Aviv Caspi, Bellevue Youth Leader

Caspi is active in Youth Link's Youth Council and the Parks Department's Youth Court, as well as Washington State's Legislative Youth Advisory Council

Name: Aviv Caspi

School: Junior at 

Accomplishments: Caspi has participated in and other Bellevue leadership activities since his freshmen year, serving on numerous committees and in a variety of roles. He currently is the co-vice president of the Bellevue Youth Council for 2010-11.

Key to Awesomeness: Patrick Alina of Youth Link says Caspi is a great motivator for other students.

"He leads by example," Alina says. Caspi started as part of Bellevue Youth Link's summer youth leadership academy and has volunteered in various capacities ever since. He also has taken the initiative to become involved in Lt. Gov. Brad Owen's Legislative Youth Advisory Council, giving Bellevue a voice in statewide issues for young people, Alina says.

"A lot of kids volunteer, but he takes it to a different level. He sees the big picture, and is a good model for civic involvement,"Alina says.
