Accomplishment: Celmer and Leitzke each received their WoHeLo awards May 22. The Wohelo Award is the highest award a youth member of Camp Fire USA can earn, and stands for work, health and love. Keys to Awesomeness: Celmer and Leitzke joined Camp Fire as kindergarteners and are the only two from their original group to have achieved the highest Camp Fire award, says Margie Celmer, Lauren Celmer’s mother.

To earn the honor, the girls completed a number of individual projects to demonstrate their commitment to service and leadership skills. Celmer, for example, has helped coach and played on a Special Olympics soccer team that went to the state championships two years ago, and both have worked as youth counselors at Camp Fire summer camps, Margie Celmer said.
