Bellevue Whiz Kid: Gigi Jirapolchet, Bellevue High School Student, Named City Volunteer Of The Year

Name: Gigi Jirapolchet

School: Junior at Bellevue High School

Accomplishment: Jirapolchet has been named the city of Bellevue’s volunteer of the year.

Keys to Awesomeness: Jirapolchet was nominated as city volunteer of the year by Youth Link, where she took on leadership of the 2010 drive to collect and distribute more than 3,000 coats to needy families, through her role as president of the Bellevue High School Fashion Club. In addition, Jirapolchet is involved in the Bellevue Youth Court and the Bellevue Youth Council, and writes for Youth Link’s Youth Connection newsletter.

Jirapolchet will be officially recognized at the City Council meeting scheduled for Monday, April 18 as part of National Volunteer Week.
