Clyde Beach Swim Area to Close Tuesday for Pier Replacement

The rest of the park will be open, but swimmers are off-limits until mid-October.

Clyde Beach will close to swimmers on Tuesday for replacement of a swim pier, the city of Bellevue announced, though the rest of the park will be open.

The beach is expected to remain closed until mid-October when the work is complete, according to the city. The project also will require closure of the lower parking lot, the west turf area and the walkway to the pier, according to the city.

The rest of the park, located at 9415 Lake Washington Blvd, will remain open.

According to the city, crews will replace pilings and deck material that are more than 40 years old.
