Eastside Fashion: VIDEO: Holiday Hairstyling With Gene Juarez Salon

Check out the latest video with Levi Powell of Gene Juarez Salon and Spa on how to do hair for the holidays.

Last week, I got to be hair model for a video by Gene Juarez Salon and Spa on holiday hair and fall/winter trends. Like in my last video on , I had the fabulous stylist doing my hair is Levi Powell. Everyone should ask for him.

Levi covered hairstyles include a simple pinned up hairdo for people with shoulder-length hair, with a few bobby pins and dressing up a shaggy bob with a chic and sophisticated ribbon.

For my long hair, Levi pulled my hair into the perfect ponytail, so I could look nice and slick. Here's how he did it:

First you blow out your hair smoothly and nicely. Create enough tension, so you don’t create bumps within your ponytail. Then you want to spray across the grain of your hair to get rid of any frizz.

Next, wrap an elastic band around your pony tail two or three times, as tight as you can. If you don’t have a good elastic, you can anchor a regular rubber band in place with a rubber band with two bobby pins (watch the video to see how he does this trick).

Then wrap some extra hair around the rubber band so it is hidden. Finally, spray hairspray around the grain of the hair. Then, gently run a tissue paper across the service of your hair, and you get rid of all the fly always so you can create the perfect ponytail. Check out the holiday hairstyling video here.

Follow these stylish hair looks, and you’ll be looking fabulous for winter and fall! Thanks for Levi Powell of the Bellevue , which is at the . Be sure to come and visit Gene Juarez for all their winter/fall services!
