Honoring the Vets with S.O.S.

Sherry Grindeland gives kudos to a restaurant, which paid homage to our veterans with a tasty version of a classic military meal.

Kudos to the kitchen crew at in Eastgate for their lunch special. If you've ever been in the military, you'll know exactly what it was: S.O.S.

Translated into language suitable for the family, that's 'Stuff on a Shingle.' The shingle is a piece of bread and the 'stuff' is meat in cream sauce or white gravy.

The difference between Lil' Jon's and the military version? The restaurant version was
delicious said one of the veterans in my family.
