The Seattle Humane Society provided the following information about the program:

Seattle Humane Society has openings for 25 FREE Pit Bull spay and neuter surgeries during the month of June to qualified income households.

Through no fault of their own, Pit Bulls end up in shelters more often than any other breed. Spaying and neutering helps reduce shelter surrenders, pet homelessness caused by unplanned litters and the risk of many cancers.
