April 27: Little Bookworms Story Time at the

  • 11 a.m. to noon
  • Gather by the fireplace on the second level of Building Two every Wednesday for story times, songs from A Nanny For U and treats by– sweet! And unload your tikes and toss your minivan keys to the Bravern’s valet because you enjoy free valet parking throughout April while you attend Little Bookworms.
  • Cost: Free

April 27: Personal Financial Literacy Workshop at

  • 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
  • Struggling to get a teen or college student to understand the basics of sticking to a budget? This free two hour workshop presented by Bank of America could help. Topics will include budget basics, handling a checking and savings accounts, using credit responsibly, setting financial goals and more.

April 30: El Dia de los Ninos/Dia de Los Libros (Child Day/Book Day) Children’s Festival at and the

  • 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
  • This Children’s Day celebration advocates literacy for children of all linguistic and cultural backgrounds.  Enjoy live entertainment including story telling, and Chris Ballew aka Casper Babypants and the steel drum and dance performing ensemble Bakra Bata on the Crossroads Stage and community booths.

April 30: Get Crafty Saturdays at BAM featuring Trompe l’Oeil

  • Artist John Cederquist's fine art furniture on display now at the through May 15, in the Master of Deception exhibit, blends reality and illusion through its vivid imagery. Learn some of the basics behind Trompe l'Oeil, "fooling the eye," and create your own pieces designed to do just that.
  • Cost: $2 materials fee per child or free with admission

April 30: Free crafts at

  • 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Every Saturday the downtown Bellevue Lakeshore Learning store offers free craft activities for kids three and up. This Saturday’s activity is Buzzing Bee – kids celebrate spring by creating a colorful paper bumblebee, complete with wings that really flap!
