Fun activities and some sweet deals for the whole family this upcoming week.

EVENTS FOR FAMILIES, July 27– Aug. 3

July 29-31: at the

  • July 29, noon-8 p.m.
  • July 30-31, 10 a.m.-8 p.m.
  • Kids of all ages can come down and bounce on inflatables of all shapes and sizes. Children must be accompanied by a caregiver.
  • Cost: $1 to $2 per activity. Note that only cash is accepted and there are no ATMs at the park.

July 29 – 31: Ananda Mela Joyful Festival of India at the Campus

  • July 29, 7-9 p.m.
  • July 30-31, noon-9 p.m.
  • A celebration of India featuring delicious food, free live music and dance performances, activities for kids, vendors, magicians, visual art displays and community organizer booths. Look for the Patch booth and find your local editors.

July 29-31: kidsfair at the

  • Friday-Saturday, 9:30 a.m.-9:30 p.m.
  • Sunday, 9:30 a.m.-6 p.m.
  • Kids age 3-12 will enjoy lots of fun, free art activities inside the museum including painting with pastels, making colorful creations with beads and creating a spinning mini-movie using their own drawings. This is a great opportunity to escape from the heat and crowds of the fair and kids love the hands-on art activities. Plus admission to all the great exhibits at the museum are free the entire weekend.

Aug. 1: Make It Monday at

  • 10-11 a.m.
  • Kids age 3 and older and an adult caregiver enjoy creating a “make and take” art activity every Monday this month at Bellevue Art and Frame.
  • Cost: Free

Aug. 2: How to Train Your Dragon showing at the Bellevue Summer Outdoor Movie Program at the

  • 7:30 p.m. – Pre-movie activity of Zumba begins, movie starts at dusk
  • Bring the whole family to this PG-rated hit movie featuring a young Viking's adventures with his unlikely friend—yep, a dragon.
  • Cost: Free, but consider a donation to benefit clients of this week’s featured agency, the , including paint brushes, acrylic paint, washable markets and kids craft kits. The series continues through Aug. 23 and a schedule of upcoming movies is available online.

  • Deal: Pick up some great deals to get help you get your whole family cooking together with up to 40 percent off of sale merchandise on grilling and cooking tools, outdoor entertainment, and great finds for your table.

Going Out of Business Sale

  • Deal: Up to 40 percent off everything in the store. Also you can only use your Borders Bucks, Borders gift cards, etc., for a limited time so get in the store this week and use those up while you still can. And note that all sales are final.
