Bellevue Jazz Festival Tickets On Sale Friday

Headliners to the Bellevue Jazz Festival includs the Clayton Brothers Quintet, Booker T. Jones and Hubert Laws Quintet. Tickets to go on sale Friday.

The Bellevue Jazz Festival is bringing in reknowned headliners Clayton Brothers Quintet, Booker T. Jones and Hubert Laws Quintet when it comes to the Meydenbauer Center at the end of May.

The festival, it its fifth year, will feature more than 40 free performances by top Seattle and Bellevue-area jazz musicians at venues throughout downtown Bellevue, including performances at , moving to downtown Bellevue from Issaquah.

Tickets to the headline performances at the 2012 Bellevue Jazz Festival will go on sale Friday, March 30, 2012. Individual ticket prices are $34 ($17 for students). The festival’s “Theatre Package” offers the best value with preferred seating to all three shows for $78. Tickets will be available for purchase online at bellevuejazz.com or by phone from Brown Paper Tickets at (800) 838-3006. The headline performances will be held at the 410-seat Theatre at Meydenbauer Center.

Celebrating its fifth year, the Bellevue Jazz Festival will again feature more than 40 free performances by top Seattle and Bellevue-area jazz musicians at venues throughout downtown Bellevue. The full festival schedule will be released in May. More information is also available at bellevuejazz.com.

The KPLU School of Jazz Rising Stars at the Bellevue Jazz Festival will cap the weekend on Sunday, June 3 with a 6 p.m. performance at the new Bake’s Place in downtown Bellevue. Tickets for this show will be available from Brown Paper Tickets closer to the performance date.

The Bellevue Downtown Association (BDA) produces the annual Bellevue Jazz Festival and collaborates on artist selection with Earshot Jazz Executive Director John Gilbreath. This year’s festival sponsors include the City of Bellevue, Microsoft, 4Culture, KING 5, KPLU 88.5, 425 Magazine, 91.3 KBCS and the Bellevue Reporter.

The BDA is a nonprofit membership organization charged with leading the evolution of Downtown Bellevue as the economic and cultural heart of the Eastside.
