CORRY LEE

REDMOND RESIDENT

WINNER OF INTERNATIONAL WRITERS OF THE FUTURE CONTEST

In recognition of being Redmond's newest internationally acclaimed writer published in “L. Ron Hubbard Presents Writers of the Future Volume 28” which won the 2012 International Book Awards for Short Story Fiction. See our Achievement Awards Event video at www.WritersOfTheFuture.com.

Publishing today is a very competitive field and past estimates have shown that of the approximately 50,000 new books published each year, there were roughly 1,000,000 being submitted. There are a very small percentage of books published annually that are authored by new writers. These Contests provide aspiring writers and illustrators a chance to be recognized, with both cash prizes and career advancement.

Over the past 28 years, the Contests have honored over 650 aspiring writers and illustrators, providing that much needed helping hand to launch successful careers. This ceremony will celebrate the 28th anniversary for Writers and Illustrators of the Future. Past winners of the Writing Contest have published over 750 novels and 3,500 short stories. Winners of the Illustrators Contest have had their art published in more than 500 books and magazines, with 4,500 illustrations, 350 comics and over 1.3 million art prints.
