George Nelson Symposium: Beyond the Exhibition

Join us for an educational endeavor that explores George Nelson and the future of architecture and design. This day of presentations and a panel is designed for those looking to develop a firm grasp of George Nelson’s contributions. The event will begin with a private tour through the show with BAM Curator, Nora Atkinson, and Stefano Catalani, Director of Curatorial Affairs/Artistic Director. Speakers will include Hilda Longinotti, Nelson's personal assistant for 20+ years at Herman Miller and Cordula Brown of Seattle University. A panel featuring Jim Olson of Olson Kundig Architects, Ed Weinstein of Weinstein A|U, Architects + Urban Designers, Grant Hildebrand, Professor Emeritus, Department of Architecture at the University of Washington, and David Miller of Mill Hull Architects, will discuss the current and future movements of architecture and design.
