Foul Play Suspected in Bellevue Woman's Death

Bellevue Police are investigating the death of a woman discovered Monday in her home at the Tenth Place Condominiums in Bellevue's Wilburton neighborhood.

Bellevue Police are investigating the death of a 35-year-old woman discovered Monday in her condominium unit in Bellevue's Wilburton neighborhood.

Update: 7:50 p.m. 

Foul play is suspected in the woman's death, though an earlier report that the woman was shot was incorrect, according to Bellevue Police spokeswoman Officer Carla Iafrate.

A co-worker discovered the woman's body in the entryway of her unit at the Tenth Place Condominiums on Northeast 10th Place off of 124th Avenue Northeast, Iafrate said.

Neighbors told reporters that the woman was seen around the complex with a 10-year-old son. Iafrate said that detectives confirmed that the child is not missing.

The woman's name was not released Monday.

Neighbors told reporters that the woman had a 10-year-old son. While Bellevue Police would confirm that there was one other person living in the house, and the person's whereabouts were being investigated.

Bellevue Police are investigating the death of a woman discovered Monday in her home.

Spokeswoman Officer Carla Iafrate said a co-worker who was concerned that the woman had not shown up for work, came to the woman's unit at the Tenth Place Condominiums and discovered the woman dead in the entryway.

Neighbors told reporters that the woman had a 10-year-old son. Iafrate would not confirm the neighbors' reports, nor the whereabouts of anyone else living in the same unit.

According to Bellevue Police spokeswoman Officer Carla Iafrate, the 35-year-old woman's co-worker checked her home in the 12700 block NE 10th Place this morning after the woman did not show up for work.

The co-worker discovered the woman dead and called police just before noon, Iafrate said.

There does not appear to be any threat to the surrounding area, Iafrate added.
