Bellevue Cash Mob to Hit Your Local Market Saturday

Your Local Market will be the target of a Cash Mob Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., organizers say.

will be the target of a mob on Saturday, but it's a good thing.

A Bellevue Cash Mob, that is. And you can join them.

From 10 am - 1 pm on Saturday, June 9, Cash Mobbers will hit Your Local Market, a local grocery store that launched last year. Mobbers are asked to come and spend $20 or more. To get in the spirit of it, mobbers can also meet three people they didn't know before, and have fun, according to the Bellevue Cash Mob Facebook page.

Cash Mobs are a events with the purpose of providing a small influx of cash for small businesses that create awareness and drive business, organizers say.

The group congregates at a locally owned business to infuse their collective cash into the merchant’s register. The day, time and location of a Cash Mob are conveyed via social media and the mobbers are simply required to show up, have a good time and shop. Several mobs around the country have reported over $1,500 contributed in just over an hour of mobbing.
