Black Bottle Postern offers a globally-inspired menu, served in shareable portions, as well as choice cocktails, hard-working wines, and hand-crafted beers. There is something for everyone.

Brian Fritz, AvalonBay’s Vice President of Development said, “We are happy to bring such a fresh, unique dining experience to our residents and to the Bellevue community as a whole. We specifically targeted Black Bottle for the building because of its unprecedented style and great reputation. The tavern offers the same luxurious, yet ‘welcoming feel’ that we seek to provide in our communities, so it’s a natural fit for us.”

Chris Linker, Managing Partner of Black Bottle, echoed Mr. Fritz’s enthusiasm.  “We’re excited to be in Bellevue. Our goal is to provide a distinctive experience and be an everyday amenity to the city’s residents and the surrounding area.”

As a gastropub, Black Bottle offers fresh, made-to-order dishes such as house-made Duck Sausage and Confit ($10), seven hour braised, Pulled Pork Tacos ($7), and Chola with house-made Batura ($8). Prices range from $5-$13 with a bevy of dishes $7 or less. No two dishes are alike.

Brian Durbin, the tavern’s head chef and co-owner, is seasoned with over 25 years of international experience. With travel and study in Japan, Italy, the Caribbean and Mexico, his culinary passport is most impressive.  “My focus is to consistently bring creative, fresh and natural ingredients to the table without affectation,” he said.

Much like the food, drinks are ample in options and modest in price. While no formal “happy hour” may be in place, $5 premium well cocktails, $4 locally brewed pints, and $4/5 glasses of wine make every hour a happy one for customers.

“The tavern is based on value, quality and consistency. We don’t want to limit our customers’ access to that. These are the same low prices on any day, at any hour. The food is diverse and eclectic and our menu features great dishes you might find in local taverns all around the world. Black Bottle Postern is convivial, urbane, and a down-to-earth tavern experience.” Mr. Linker emphasized.
