Dress by Local "Fashion Star" Contestant Featured at Bellevue Nordstrom

A dress by designer Lizzie Parker, who competed on NBC's reality show "Fashion Star," will be featured at the Trunk Show at Nordstrom in Bellevue Square.

Lizzie Parker, a Sammamish fashion designer who competed on NBC's reality show "Fashion Star" earlier this year, will showcase a dress at the Bellevue Nordstrom on Saturday, Dec. 1.

A dress designed by Parker, who had a shop in Issaquah's Gilman Village, was shown at the Bellevue Collection's Designer Runway Show and then worn by Vogue's director of events and merchandising, Anne Vincent, during Vogue's Front Row Fashion Event, according to an announcement by the Bellevue Collection.

The dress is now called the “Anne” dress in honor of Vincent and it will be sold, along with a shorter version, at Nordstrom in Bellevue Square Bellevue, according to the announcement.

The “Anne” features a gossamer blouson bodice that sways softly atop the side-tie skirt of a gauzy maxi dress alight in fine glitter for a beguiling impression.  It slips over head with a removable lining. It is made in the USA of Polyamide and is offered at Nordstrom for $238, according to the release.

Parker will be showcasing the dresses during a special Trunk Show and Personal Appearance on Saturday, Dec. 1 from 1 – 3 p.m. on 2nd Floor in the Special Occasion department of Nordstrom in Bellevue Square. The event is free and open to the public.

The Eastside was represented well in "Fashion Star," which debuted on NBC earlier this year. Parker and designer Lisa Vian Hunter of Mercer Island both competed on the show.
