T-Mobile Customer Rings Up $200,000 Bill

The Associated Press has a video report on a Florida family who found out the hard way charges that could be incurred by traveling internationally.

A Florida T-Mobile customer discovered the hard way that international data charges can add up, after getting a bill for more than $200,000, according to the Associated Press.

Celina Aarons' brother, Shamir, who is deaf and uses data on his phone, had rung up the charges during a trip to Canada, and Celina Aarons told AP she wanted to know why T-Mobile didn't contact her before the bill's amount rose to mortgage-level heights, and her phone was suspended.

T-Mobile, after being contacted by a Florida television station, agreed to cut the charges down to $2,500, according to the report.
