Top Pot To Open in Bellevue Square

Top Pot Doughnuts, the local doughnut chain that has a location in downtown Bellevue, announced a new location in Bellevue Square, next to the Billabong store.

"Opening a cafe at complements the Top Pot brand in the best possible way," Top Pot Doughnuts co-founder Mark Klebeck said in a prepared statement released on BusinessWire. "The quality of retail shopping found at Bellevue Square is world class. Having Top Pot Doughnuts as a part of the customer shopping experience is something we are extremely proud to be a part of."

Top Pot, which has eight locations in the Puget Sound area, including four in Seattle and one in Bellevue, was founded 10 years ago on Capitol Hill in Seattle. Quite famously, the story goes that the doughnut shop got its name from an old sign purchased from the Chinese restaurant "Topspot," which turned into "Top Pot" when the "S" rusted away.

Top Pot confirmed on its Twitter feed that the new store will be in addition to its  at 10600 NE 9th Pl, Bellevue.
