Seattle's Mr. Detail Giving a Dime for Every Dollar Spent to March For Babies in March

Mr. Detail Auto Salons are “Making Babies Our Business” by leading a corporate team in the 2014 March of Dimes Greater Puget Sound March For Babies at Seattle Center on Saturday, May 3. In order to get a jump on raising money towards the Seattle goal of $610,000, all five Mr. Detail locations and their mobile detailing services division are giving a dime for every dollar their customers spend on Mr. Detail car care services throughout the month of March.

The Washington Chapter of the March for Babies and its theme “Go, Baby, Go” is a new fundraising incentive for the March of Dimes in 2014. Nearly half a million babies are born prematurely every year, close to 9,000 right here in Washington. The funds raised will help improve the health of babies who are born too early, and offer support to the families if something goes wrong.

“The Seattle community has done much to help Mr. Detail grow over the years,” says co-founder Mike Rafael. “My partner Tom Shearer and I feel that by leading a team of walkers, and by donating a dime for every dollar spent with us this month, we can thank the community for their support and help Seattle families who will face many challenges if they have a child born prematurely.”

The 3.1-mile “march” begins at the Fisher Pavilion at Seattle Center at 9:00 a.m. on May 3. Anyone who wishes to sponsor the Mr. Detail team, sign up to walk with us, or just make a donation, should visit the Mr. Detail Auto Spa sponsorship page at www.marchforbabies.org/s_team_page.asp?seid=2179294#team_roster. All monetary support goes towards the 2014 March For Babies campaign.
