This weekend's planned closure of the State Route 520 Bridge from March 15 -18 has been canceled due to weather, WSDOT announced Friday via Twitter.
Rain is in the forecast for the Seattle area on Saturday and Sunday, with an 80 percent chance of rain expected tomorrow.
According to the Washington State Department of Transportation, WSDOT is evaluating alternate plans to complete the work that was planned for this weekend. Crews had planned to re-open the eastbound freeway transit stop at 92nd Avenue Northeast. The stop has been closed since summer 2012 for 520 construction.
