and participated in a small ceremony in front of Sunday morning in commemoration of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

A fire truck ladder, a group of police officers and a small group of residents gathered before City Hall’s flag shortly before 10 a.m. to watch the flags lowered at half staff and observe a minute of silence.

The flags at all of Bellevue’s nine fire stations were lowered to honor the nearly 3,000 people who lost their lives on Sept. 11, 2001. Flags were raised at 5 p.m. at the fire stations, and slated to be reaised at City Hall at 8 a.m., Monday.
