Bellevue Woman Accidentally Drowned in Hot Tub: Medical Examiner

A Bellevue woman's drowning in a hot tub ruled accidental, the King County Medical Examiner announced Thursday.

The Bellevue woman accidentally drowned, the King County Medical Examiner reported Thursday.

 spokeswoman Office Carla Iafrate told Bellevue Patch that there is nothing suspicious about the woman's death.

The woman's husband told police that he spoke with her when he called home around lunchtime Wednesday, but when he got home that evening around 6 p.m., he found her submerged in the tub, Iafrate said. He called 9-1-1 and began CPR, Iafrate said.

Medics responded to the home in the 2600 block of 106th Avenue Northeast, but Eastman was pronounced dead at the scene. The woman was 56-years-old.
