Eastside Fashion: Fancy Frenchwood Wants To Help Everyone Find Their "Fancy Life"

Social media diva Fancy Frenchwood is the co-host of two online radio programs, Sexy in Seattle and Socially Savvy, working on a web series, and authoring a book to help women create their own niche.

Recently, I got the pleasure of interviewing Fancy Frenchwood. As the co-host of two online radio programs, Sexy in Seattle and Socially Savvy, featuring topics such as special events, fitness, fashion, romance, and more, she is becoming Seattle's "It Girl."

It also helps that she's a social media diva and she is currently filming her own reality show webisodes called "Livin' the Fancy Life!"

EF: What made you want to be on the radio?

Fancy Frenchwood: Actually, I ran into LB Dutchess, the creator of Socially Savvy, at a birthday party at and she asked me to guest host her opening show the following Monday. It sounded fun and interesting and I'm such a social person. How could I say no to "Socially Savvy?" After the first show, she invited me to be a permanent co-host. I accepted the invitation and have grown to really enjoy our live broadcasts. We are creating and cultivating relationships with our listeners, which is really in alignment with one of my core values, forging positive and productive relationships with others.

EF: What are your favorite place to shop in the Seattle area?

Fancy Frenchwood: , shoe department. I'm such a shoe whore -- feel free to quote me! I love ! Bellevue is really my favorite city in the Pacific Northwest. I recently discovered a new boutique, Blue Luna. I'm hosting an event there on June 15th from 5-8. Ivetta, the owner, hand selects the designs from Europe. I've also been meaning to check out The Finerie in Seattle.

EF: What is your upcoming book “"Livin' the Fancy Life," going to be about?

Fancy Frenchwood: "Livin' the Fancy Life" is a woman's guide to help women find their path to greatness. It starts with evaluating current circumstances, identifying goals and aspirations, then beginning the journey. I will share some personal success stories, but really, it's not about living my life. It's about each woman gaining clarity and focus as it pertains to her idea of the "fancy" life.

EF: How would describe your fashion sense?

Fancy Frenchwood: My fashion sense is like my common sense...somewhat lacking, haha. My husband always tells me that I'm a genius but that I lack "common sense." However, I do have enough common sense to know that I need help accessorizing and coordinating sometimes! I really love several of the local designers here in Seattle. Bri Seeley, of Bri Seeley Designs is creating a custom design for my birthday dress. I'm hosting the upcoming event "Chance: 2 Year Anniversary Party - Celebrate 24 months of Seattle Fashion." I'm looking forward to seeing all the new designs. I attend a lot of fashion shows and that helps keep me current on what the trends are.

EF: If Hollywood made a movie about your life, whom would you like to see play the lead role as you?

Fancy Frenchwood: J-Lo or Eva Mendez because they both have big heartfelt smiles and when I die I wanna come back as one of them!

EF: When do your webisodes start? Is it a reality show?

Fancy Frenchwood: The "Livin' the Fancy Life" web series will begin later this month! Royale Agency, a Seattle-based production company has been filming since late April. They are currently editing and putting together an intro, teaser, and six episodes. The are capturing the process of writing my book, birthday party planning, and my life as a mom, wife, friend, and social butterfly.

Here is the show summary and description:

 Concept for the show

The show features Fancy Frenchwood, local businesswoman, wife, and mother of four. Fancy is affectionately referred to as “everyone’s friend,” due to her natural ability to make meaningful connections everywhere she goes. Her dynamic personality, warm smile, and universal appeal allow her to connect with diverse audiences.

The purpose of “Livin’ the Fancy Life,” is to engage, empower, and inspire women through Fancy’s informed insight gained while overcoming major life challenges. Fancy offers a message of hope and motivation that combat the national perception that Seattleites are fearful, depressed, and complacent. The Seattle-based reality television series will feature Fancy’s dynamic lifestyle as she navigates life’s daily challenges and offers real-time lessons learned.

Fancy’s passion and zest for maintaining an active and productive lifestyle energizes others to dream bigger, reach higher, and achieve more.

EF: You wear many hats: businesswoman, networker, author, radio host. Out of all of your many hats, which one would be your favorite?

Fancy Frenchwood: Oh gosh, my favorite? Definitely, being a mom. I had my oldest son when I was only 16 years old. I've been a mom for more than half of my young life. I have four children, three boys and one girl. It hasn't been an easy road, especially starting as a teenager. However, it is by far the most profound and rewarding experience of my life. I am incredibly blessed.

EF: Are you excited or nervous to be fabulous and 40?

Fancy Frenchwood: I have been anticipating this day for at least 5 years! I relish the idea of entering the next chapter of my life. I embrace getting older because with each year, I strive to become a better person and I'm able look back over the last several years and see my growth, spiritually and intellectually. Birthdays are not only a celebration of life, but a celebration of the relationships we have cultivated over the years between family and friends. I couldn't possibly be more excited about turning 40 and celebrating with friends, family, colleagues, acquaintances, and new friends!

EF: What do you do when your not filming or on the radio?

Fancy Frenchwood: I'm writing my book, loving my family, spending quality time with my friends, nagging my husband, exercising, learning, growing. And, oh yeah, updating my Facebook and Twitter! I'm a total social media addict!!

EF:What would I find in your refrigerator right now?

Fancy Frenchwood: Nothing, I'm on a starvation diet until my birthday! Just kidding. Milk, eggs, cheese, lunch meat, sausage, butter, pickles, jelly, jalapenos, veggies, fruits and my guilty pleasure, mayonnaise. I almost forgot -- leftover chicken adobo, last night's dinner.

Thanks for the interview Fancy!
