Eastside Fashion: How to dress the "Bellevue" Guy!

If Bellevue Guy were in Merriam-Webster’s dictionary, I think it would be defined as “a handsome, athletic, well dressed man.”  Everywhere you go in Bellevue, you always see Bellevue men dressed well.

The question is: what do they wear and where do they shop to make them such fabulous fashionistos? I'm here to help.

Gentlemen's Style Icons

Everyone needs a style icon, even men. So boys, time to listen up! Fall is just around the corner, and that means put away the baggy shorts and baggy jeans and take a cue from Mr. Chuck Bass from the TV show Gossip Girl. (He's portrayed by actor Ed Westwick.) The world would truly be a better place if you dressed like Chuck Bass: clean cut, preppy and well dressed in a modern suit and tie. Men who dress this way are classy and cute! It's a perfect look for the Fall Bellevue man! (Also, Chuck Bass gets all the girls dressed like this, so there you go.) 

Also, another great style icon for men to follow would be David Beckham, who plays soccer for the Los Angeles Galaxy. He dresses in athletic chic -- rugged, sporty and stylish. He is married to Victoria Beckham, who has her own fashion line, so you know he dresses well.

So exactly where do you shop to dress man chic? (Or to buy your man clothes that will be chic?)

Shopping guide for men (or for the women who shop for men)

: David Lawrence is located right in the heart of downtown Bellevue at . As they say on their website “Our men's selections are found in the hottest clubs and restaurants by night, and by day, in the most prestigious offices and golf courses.” It’s true. The stylish Bellevue guys you see walking around the streets are probably dressed from head to toe in David Lawrence. Go into the store and you’ll see a variety of designer attire from Hugo Boss to Versace.

: Another exceptional store for men’s clothing! It's right in . As I mentioned earlier in this article, Chuck Bass is a great style icon, and to copy his looks, Lacoste is the place to shop. Lacoste is all about the fresh, athletic, preppy look.

Tommy Hilfiger: Another great shop for the sporty, preppy look is Tommy Hilfiger, which is a brand that you can find at . With these two designers -- Lacoste and Tommy Hilfiger -- you’ll look “Fresh to Death!” (as DJ Pauly D from the reality show Jersey Shore says).

Nike Shoes: I dub Nike shoes the number one pair of kicks for guys!  They are stylish, easy to wear. Shoes are just as important to men as they are for women. Stylish men should have to have the newest/freshest pair of kicks! You can find a huge selection of Nike shoes at Niketown in Seattle!

Diesel: So, what kind of jeans should the “Bellevue” guy buy? Just like woman, men have trouble finding that “right” pair of jeans, the ones that fit them perfectly and will last a long time. David Beckham, for example wears Diesel Zatiny 737 jeans (which can be found at at and at .)  These jeans are so clean cut; you can wear them during the day and even at night on a nice date!
