Eastside Fashion: Splendid Opens in Bellevue Square with Unique Event
It's Bellevue Fashion Week at the Bellevue Collection and everyone seems to be in the fashion spirit this week. So, it's perfect timing for a new fashionable store opening. Splendid is opening Oct. 14.
With Bellevue Fashion Week going on through Oct. 2 at the , this week everyone seems to be in the fashion spirit! So, it’s perfect timing for a new fashionable store to be opening at the Bellevue Collection.
On Oct. 14 clothing brand Splendid will open its new store at . This will be their first location in the Pacific Northwest. The brand offers comfortable collections for women, men, young teenagers and babies. Don’t think sweatshirts. Think chic yet comfortable dresses and skirts, color-blocked scarves for men and women, boldly cut men’s sweaters, and comfortable everyday wear for kids aged infants to teenagers.
The soft clothes come in bold colors and are soft, being made of a mixture of cotton and rayon, according to the website.

For their grand opening event on Oct. 22 on the first floor of Bellevue Square, a few stores down from the Microsoft Store, and between the BCBGMAXAZARIA and a future Madewell jeans store, Splendid will be hosting a unique grand opening event. They will host “Crafting Community,” a series of interactive workshops for guests to craft original art and unique accessories. The event will provide a chance to craft, create, and be imaginative for kids and adults alike.
Visitors can also try out the Sew Splendid Cart, where families can design their own custom Splendid scarf by mixing and matching fabrics from the brand’s vibrant color palette to create their ideal accessory. Another activity will be Fun with Fabrics, a fabric and beading workshop where participants create one-of-a-kind necklaces, bracelets and key fobs by braiding, twisting and knotting Splendid fabric with colorful beads.

You can also buy “Fun With Fabrics” to-go kits that include all the ingredients necessary to construct DIY accessories at home. As an added incentive, four guests will win $250 shopping sprees at the Splendid store. Sounds like an amazing event for every age.
