Five Things Weekend Edition

How will you spend your last little bit of summer vacation? Here are a few ideas from Bellevue Patch.

1. Kick off the weekend early with a free trip today to the Museum of History & Industry, which is free to all the first Thursday of every month.

2. Join a Ranger in exploring the natural history of  , 5808 Lakemont Blvd SE. Look for signs of local wildlife and learn what to do when encountering animals in the wild Saturday, Sept. 3. All ages welcome. Dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes.  No registration required, and the hike goes from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

4. Get your registration in for a free advocacy and media training for human services providers, volunteers and clients in King County. The training will take place Wed., Sept. 7, from 3 – 5 p.m. at the MercerView Community Center. Pre-registration is required; register at www.kingcountyalliance.com.
