Five Things You Need To Know Today: April 18

Once you finish your taxes, take some time to take in some art or resharpen your trivia pursuits.

1) It’s the real deal today—the deadline to submit your taxes is today. Still working on the forms today? Check out some tips for last-minute filers here to .

2) It's the first day of . The 12th Annual Earth Week at will be from April 18 to 22 and will feature more than 30 lectures, films and panel discussions, plus displays, demonstrations and other activities. The overall theme is “Environmental and Social Justice” but there are many other topics, too. Programs are in the BC Student Union.

3) The Bellevue City Council meets tonight. The Bellevue City Council holds a 6pm Study Session in the Council Conference Room at followed by an 8pm Regular Session in the Council Chambers on the first and Third Mondays of the month. Agendas are posted here prior to the meetings.

4)  Tonight is Trivia Night at , 15600 NE 8th St. Come put all that wasted brain power to work and get your dinner on, too. Trivia Night starts at 8 p.m. The cost is $1 per person, and food and drink specials will be available.

5)   We are entering the home stretch of the ’s exhibit “” which runs through May 15, 2011. Jules Steiner was unquestionably among the most imaginative doll and toy makers of the 19th century. His inventions included mechanical toys and walking and talking dolls. The exhibit will display a number of rare Steiner dolls that have never been exhibited at the Museum.
