Five Things You Need to Know Today: Jan. 18

Free comedy tonight at the Spot Off Main.

1. The , 20 103rd Ave. NE, has comedian Jeremy Horn lined up with six other acts for one very special night at The Spot. The begins at 8:30 p.m. with $3 drink specials.

2. There are auditions tonight for three upcoming shows: "The Last Unicorn," "Cinderella" and "A Midsummer Night’s Dream." Auditions are open to ages 8 and older. There is no need to prepare anything for the audition. Participants 18 and older are required to have a current Washington State Patrol background check on file at the theater. These are good for one year. Auditions for these plays will be held on today and tomorrow at Bellevue Youth Theatre, 16661 Northup Way, from 5 – 6:30 p.m.

3. The Bellevue City Council holds a 6 p.m. study session tonight in the council conference room at , 450 110th Ave. NE, followed by an 8 p.m. regular session in the council chambers. Agendas are posted here prior to the meetings.

4. Want to support boys basketball in Bellevue today? The boys teams host Mount Si at 5:30 and 7:30 p.m., at 16245 NE 24th St.; the boys teams travel to Liberty High School, 16655 SE 136th St. in Renton, for games at 5:30 and 7:30 p.m.

5. The Bellevue School District holds regular board meetings on the first and third Tuesdays of each month, at 12241 Main St., in the Rainier Room. Today's meeting starts at 4:30 p.m.  You can view the agenda for this afternoon’s meeting here.
