Five Things You Need To Know Today: June 28

We focus on food and fun in today's Five Things—and a chance to plan ahead for National Waffle Day.

1. , 888 116th Ave. NE, is offering a Health Starts Here class from 6–7 p.m. The cost is $20, and the class focuses on using healthy fats and whole foods to create a plant-strong dinner with little added salt, sugar or oil. 

2. Your teens can enjoy the Teen Zone at , at 15590 Lake Hills Blvd. in Bellevue. It’s a chance to hang out, study, play video games and pick up a good book. .

3. Plan for a delicious and fun shopping trip to a farmers market. Crossroads Bellevue hosts a farmers market from noon-6:30 p.m. on Tuesdays through Oct. 4.  and more about the farmers market by clicking here. Pets are not allowed at the Thursday markets, but are welcome at the Saturday market, which is at , 752 108th Ave. NE.

4. Plan ahead for National Waffle Day tomorrow, and an opportunity to help those less fortunate. , 13131 NE 20th St., will hold a waffle feed tomorrow from noon–2 p.m., and donations will be accepted for Hopelink.

5. Also tomorrow, June 29,  the Microsoft Store at , 167 Bellevue Square, will offer a free computer safety and parental control workshop for parents and grandparents from 6–8 p.m.
