Genki Sushi at the  was closed by a Public Health food inspector on Jan. 26, 2012 at 2:15 pm for failure to correct repeated critical violations and for room temperature storage of potentially hazardous food. The establishment will be reopened once the inspector confirms that all issues have been resolved.

According to the Public Health Department of Seattle and King County records, the restaurant has been noted for the violation of "room temperature storage, improper use of time as a control, procedures not available" since April.
