  • Why Go: Join Friends Philosophy and Tea this Saturday for their NW Psychic and Health Fair. The fair features experts in tarot, palm, medium, Reiki, healing stones, and more.
  • Pricing: Admission is free.


  • Where/When: 1-4 p.m. on Sat, Nov. 19 at .
  • Why Go: Join Bellevue College for another installment of Science Saturdays.  Theses challenging 3-hour sessions are filled with “hands-on, minds-on” science, math, and engineering activities for 5th, 6th, and 7th grade students. Each session is run by a Bellevue College faculty member who has created an age-appropriate program designed to educate and inspire your child.

  • Where/When: 2 p.m. on Sun, Nov. 20 at in Bellevue.
  • Why Go: The City of Bellevue will offer a free screening of a new film about legendary conservationist Aldo Leopold. During the screening Leopold’s youngest daughter, University of Washington Professor Emeritus Dr. Estella Leopold will talk about the film and the work of the Aldo Leopold Foundation. Enjoy the show!

  • Where/When: 10 a.m. on Sun, Nov. 20 at in Kirkland.
  • Why Go: Join Hopelink this Sunday in Kirkland as they hold their annual 5K Turkey Trot to raise money to help low-income families in east and north King County get through the challenging winter months. This year participants have the choice between a 5K run or a 5k walk from Marina Park to Carillon Point and back.
  • Pricing: Registration is $40. Turkey Trot proceeds help Hopelink provide emergency services for low-income families in our community during a time when they face added seasonal pressures - such as higher home heating costs and additional food needs.  Register now at www.kintera.org.  

  • Where/When: 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. on Sun, Nov. 20 at the in Woodinville.
  • Why Go: Visit the Columbia winery this Sunday for NonStop Clay’s 2011 Winter Holiday Ceramic Art Sale. The show will feature beautiful work of 34 regional ceramic artists spanning a range of styles and form. This is a great chance to meet the artists and find unique one of kind ceramics for holiday giving.
  • Pricing: Admission is free.


  • Where/When: 8 a.m. on Sat, Nov. 19 at in Redmond.
  • Why Go: Join the City of Redmond for their first four mile Poultry Predictor race this Saturday at the Mackey Creek shelter in Farrel McWhirter Park. The race is open to all levels of runners because finishing first is not the objective. Runners must guess their running time before the race begins and those that finish closest to those times are the winners. The five participants who finish the closest to their predicted times will each win a frozen turkey just in time for Thanksgiving.

  • Where/When: 2-3:30 p.m. on Sat, Nov. 19 at Cascade Plaza Assisted Living in Redmond.
  • Why Go: Cascade Plaza Assisted Living is holding a benefit concert to help raise awareness and donations for Hopelink's local foodbank. The concert will feature the wonderful musical group, Ancient Sounds, whose ethereal music will transport you to mystical places.
  • Pricing: Free. Please bring a non perishable food donation to help those in need.

  • Where/When: 1-3 p.m. on Sat, Nov. 19 at Lower Commons Park, located below .
  • Why Go: Join other volunteers as they remove invasive plants and add native plants that will enhance the Lower Commons Park this Saturday afternoon. Dress for the weather, and wear boots or closed toe shoes and bring work gloves. This project is perfect for students looking to complete community service hours for school.
