  • Why Go: If you foresee a visit to the Bellevue Arts Museum anytime in your near future, you might as well make it happen this Friday--admission is free! On top of free admission to all the current exhibits at the museum, you'll also have the opportunity to sit in on a lecture from well known glass artists, Sabrina Knowles and Jenny Pohlman. Never heard of these ladies? Get to know them, and their work by visiting their website.

  • Why Go: Looking for that perfect Mother's Day outing to take Mom on this weekend? You probably won't be able to pick anything more Mom-friendly then this Craft, Antique and Garden Show at the Northwest Arts Center. There will be more than thirty vendors supplying all the unique crafts, jewelry, soaps, vintage items, and knicknacks that our Moms love.

  • Why Go: The Craft, Antique and Garden show not quite your Mom's thing? You may wanna check out this Mother's Day Social at the Botanical Garden in Bellevue. Enjoy the beauty of the garden with light refreshments and music as you celebrate the one one who brought you into this world. 
  • Pricing: This event is free and open to all. Donations are always welcome.

  • Why Go: If you're a fan of the ultra popular reality TV series Project Runway, you won't want to miss this event. Renowned fashion expert Tim Gunn will be hosting a Lucky Brand Jeans fashion show in Bellevue Square's Center Court. And it gets better. If you purchase $100 dollars or more of Lucky Brand Jeans between now and Saturday, you'll get to meet Tim Gunn, be photographed with him and receive a personalized, signed copy of his new book Gunn's Golden Rules: Life's Little Lessons for Making It Work. Sounds like a killer deal to me!

  • Why Go: Can't make it to BAM for Free First Friday? You're in luck, there's another free art event going on in Kirkland this Saturday and Sunday. All you need to do is pick up your Studio Tour Map at the KAC and then enjoy yourself. View the fine art on display at the studios or catch one of the many art demonstrations. Either way, it's bound to be a great weekend for art in downtown Kirkland.

  • Why Go: The Kirkland Half Marathon is back! Celebrate Mother's Day this year by running for a great cause. If the Half Marathon seems like a little much for you, sign up for the the 5k run/walk. There's also a free Kids' Dash available for kids 10 years old and younger. Not too stoked about running in the rain this Sunday? Check out the start of the  2010 Kirkland Half Marathon, it may get you motivated enough to look past the ugly weather.
  • Pricing: Registration ranges between $30 and $65. Proceeds will benefit the Hope Heart Institute.
