  • Where/When: 6:30 p.m. - 9 p.m. Fri, May 27 at  in Kirkland.
  • Why Go: Spend Friday night at Trellis Restaurant with the Hopworks Urban Brewery (HUB) who specialize in making delicious eco-friendly organic beer. In honor of HUB's visit to Kirkland, Chef Brian Scheehser has created a special dinner menu featuring artisan meats from Tails & Trotters. Each course will be paired with five of Hopworks’ organic brews including HUB Lager, Deluxe Organic Ale, Rise Up Red, Ace of Spades Imperial IPA and 7 Grain Stout. Be sure to try the HUB Lager, it was named the “Best Draft Beer in the World” by Men’s Journal magazine in 2010.
  • Cost: $65 per person.

  • Where/When: 11 a.m. - 10 p.m. Friday through Monday at Seattle Center.
  • Why Go: If your a fan of folk music, this event has probably been on your radar for weeks. And rightly so, it's one of the largest free folk festivals in the country and it's all going down this Memorial Day weekend at Seattle Center. The annual Northwest Folklife Festival will feature over 7,000 diverse performers, participatory dances, workshops, crafts, food and much more. 
  • Cost: Admission into the festival is free, but donations are encouraged.

  • Where/When: 12 p.m. - 2 p.m.  Sat, May 28 at .
  • Why Go: Be the first of your friends to check out this brand new Smithsonian Exhibit at the Crossroads shopping center in Bellevue. Journey Stories uses engaging images with audio and artifacts to tell the individual stories that illustrate the critical roles travel and movement have played in building our diverse American Society.
  • Cost: Free.

  • Where/When: 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Sat, May 28 at Redtown Trailhead (Cougar Mountain).
  • Why Go: Just because you couldn't make it to that big camping trip your friends had planned this weekend doesn't mean you can't enjoy the great outdoors right here in Bellevue. Join a Park Ranger for this local area hike through Coal Creek Park.
  • Cost: Free. Donations will be gratefully accepted.


  • Where/When: 7:30 p.m. - 10 p.m. Sat, May 28 at . 
  • Why Go: Don't forget to bring your dancing shoes to this event, you may need them! Join Eastside Swing Dance and Microsoft Jazz Band as they bring their talents to the Crossroads Bellevue shopping center. This is a great chance to get out on the dance floor or, if dancing not your thing, just sit and enjoy show. Not sure what to expect?
