Mensa to Hold Entrance Exam this Month
American Mensa will administer an admission test Sunday, Aug. 21 on Mercer Island.

Mensa of Washington will hold the American Mensa “Culture Fair” Test, a non-verbal measurement of intelligence based on the candidate’s ability to distinguish relationships in shapes without the influence of culture or language.
The test will be offered to anyone 14 years of age or older at the 8236 SE 24th St., on Sunday, Aug. 21. Registration begins at 11:15 a.m. and the two-hour long test begins at 11:30 a.m. People who would like to take part must show photo ID and pay a $40 registration fee. Youths 17 and under also need parental permission to take the test.

Based in Arlington, Texas, American Mensa is an organization for anyone who scores in the top two percent of the general population on an accepted, standardized intelligence test.
Mensa of Western Washington meets monthly at the Mercer Island Community Center and hosts events for its members and offers scholarships.
