Rainbow Learning Academy Opens on Bellevue Way

Madina Islamova and her mother, Liliana Avanesova, who worked with autistic children for the Bellevue School District, have opened Rainbow Learning Academy on Bellevue Way.

The child care facility on Bellevue Way Southeast is now reopened as the new Rainbow Learning Academy, and is enrolling students starting age two and up.

The new owner is Madina Islamova of Bellevue who has worked in child care and is a trained music teacher.

"It's completely under new direction and we changed the program for the kids," Islamova said.

Among the teachers is her mother, Liliana Avanesova, who worked with autistic children in the Bellevue School District, Islamova said.

The location, a day care and preschool that had been closed for several years, has been completely remodeled, Islamova said.

The center will teach youngsters gymnastics, music, math and English and Russian, she said, and Spanish as an option.

"Before kindergarten, kids need to learn how to communicate with each other," she said. "How do they play together, talk together."
