Renewal Food Bank to Spin Off as New Nonprofit

The Renewal Food Bank in Bellevue will become its own nonprofit and spin off from the World Impact Network by the end of the month.

The Renewal Food Bank, which has helped more than 300,000 individuals in and around Bellevue since it was founded in 1998, will become its own nonprofit and spin off from the World Impact Network by the end of the month, according to the World Impact Network.

The Renewal Food Bank, which reports that it provides food for 175 to 220 families each week, will continue to operate rent-free in the space at 2015 Richards Road provided by the World Impact Network for the next two years, the Renewal Food Bank announced in a press release.

"Everything will remain the same except that long time director, Rich Bowen will now be the executive director and Renewal will have its own board of directors," World Impact Network executive director Gabriella van Breda said in an emailed announcement.
