Seattle End of 520 Bridge Project Hinges on $320M Federal Loan: Seattle Times

According to the Seattle Times, the state is depending on a federal loan that would allow the bridge to expand to six lanes through the Montlake portion.

The completion of the 520 Bridge Project hinges on a $320 million loan from the Federal Highway Administration that could be finalized at the end of the month, allowing for six-lane expansion through Montlake, according to the Seattle Times.

The Times lists the timeline of the Seattle end of the project if the loan comes through, in its story printed online Sunday. The loan would enable the state to sell bonds, and then would be be repaid through bridge tolls, according to the story.
