While Bellevue is not quite expected to reach the 90s, the Puget Sound area may see a record of consecutive temps in the 80s broken, according to the National Weather Service.

The area could see temps as high as 86 through Sunday and a high of 82 on Monday, according to the National Weather Service's 7-day forecast for Bellevue.

According to the National Weather Service discussion, a strong upper ridge will bridge sunny warm weather to Western Washington and offshre flow over the weekend could result in record high or near record high temperatures.

Seattle's record of consecutive days with highs in the 80s in September is eight days -- Sept. 7 -14, 1989, the National Weather Service reported. This could be broken this weekend, the weather service reported.
