VIDEO: Join a Dancing Flash Mob Planned for Crossroads Bellevue

A Jazzercise class is planning a flash mob for Crossroads Bellevue to promote the soon-to-be constructed Fitness Room at the North Bellevue Community Center.

Want to promote fitness and have some fun? A North Bellevue Community Center Jazzercise class invites people to a flash mob to promote the soon-to-come Fitness Room at the community center.

The flash mob will consist of several performances to the song "Call Me Maybe" at Crossroads Bellevue shopping center in the middle of holiday shopping season.

A flash mob is a group that surprises and amuses the unsuspecting public with an unexpected performance.

Jazzercise instructor Kris Rooke provided the following information about the fun event:

The Flash Mob group will perform in front of unknowing shoppers at the Crossroads Mall’s Market Stage prior to the live entertainment on stage Friday (11/30) and Saturday (12/1) evening, SURPRISING the mall with random fun.

We have chosen the popular song, “Call me Maybe”, to encourage the public to call the center and take advantage of the NBCC programs. The dance moves are very basic and suitable for all ages and fitness levels.

She also added the following information about the actual event:

11/30 & 12/1/12 6:30pm (CROSSROADS MALL)

Flash Mob Performances on both Friday and Saturday evenings; please participate in one or both events! Bring friends and family, but remember we are going to try and surprise the mall with our dance performance, so all included must keep their natural demeanor during the minutes building up to the performance. Arrive and sit naturally in the area of the Market Stage around 6:30pm, music and dance will start between 6:45-7:00pm.

You can join the fun by rehearsing the steps along with the YouTube video attached to this article.

The next opportunity to rehearse the flash mob will be during the Thanksgiving Day Jazzercise Super Session Class 9:00-10:15 a.m. Nov. 22 at the North Bellevue Community Center. The class, which is being taught by Rooke and instructor Kathy Bradshaw, is free that day, but a donation of one coat for The City of Bellevue’s Youth Link's Kids Care Coat Drive, is a suggested for participation.
