Good time at women business networking events

I had a delightful time at 2 recent Bellevue Business Professional Women's events.  

At the Christmas Bazaar on December 5th, before the shopping began, we shared our dreams (professional or personal) so we can support each other in achieving them.  New members said they joined the group because they found support and warmth and good energy there.  Members not only refer business to each other, they do business with each other.

In this season of expressing appreciation to others, we were encouraged to write a letter to ourselves to express gratitude for who we are and how we have contributed to the world.  What an important reminder.  

I found quality gifts of eco-friendly gift packaging, hand-made chocolate, hand-made gemstone jewelry, nickel free jewelry, and gourmet food for gift baskets.  I appreciate the care from each vendor in helping me find just what I need to complete my holiday shopping.

Later that afternoon, I met business women from very diverse industries at the Bellevue BPW Happy Hour Networking event.  We learned about each other's work in depth, how we got started with our profession, and shared ideas that could further our business goals.

There are 10 other chapters of BPW in Washington State.  The Bellevue chapter focuses on supporting women wherever they are in their career, whether they are celebrating their success or needing encouragement during a transition.  And they really mean what they say!
