Classes Presented by EvergreenHealth: Understanding Lupus & New Treatment Frontiers

An educational symposium presented by the Lupus Foundation of America,Pacific Northwest Chapter and Sisters Against Lupus.
Join us to learn all about lupus: a complex, mysterious, yet common,autoimmune disease. A panel of health care providers and scientists will discuss its possible causes, symptoms, diagnostic criteria, epidemiology, as well as exciting new treatments involving human biologic drugs.
The panel will be led by physician/scientist Jan Hillson, MD, Senior Medical Director of ZymoGenetics/BMS, and Lupus Foundation of America, Pacific Northwest Chapter board member.Participants will gain awareness about the benefits of an antiinflammatory diet and other nutritional approaches to managing chronic illness/pain, in a workshop session led by life coach and local dietary guru Michelle Goble. The symposium will conclude with demonstrations on incorporating stress management and bodywork techniques into one’s daily life to help promote optimal wellness, despite living with a chronic and incurable disease.
